To whom it may concern

Re: Robert E. Parker, CR92-207

  1. I reported my .25 cal. Pistol stolen 2-1/2 months before June 14, 1992.
  2. I tried to get Shan to give me the .25 cal. pistol back, but he refused to do so.
  3. I asked the Sheriff take the .25 cal. pistol from Shan but he did not.
  4. My wife told me that Shan was going to kill me and that he would kill her if she was with me.
  5. I was held in jail for 8 days before they gave me my rights.
  6. My lawyers tricked me into signing some papers by telling me "that if I would sign, I would be going home as soon as the judge signed."
  7. The prosecuting attorney brought some papers to me and told me my lawyers said to sign them. I could not read them well enough to understand what they meant.
  8. My lawyers, Greg Keenum and Thomas Comer, did not cross examine the four (4) main witnesses that testified against me.
  9. When I tried to get my lawyers to do their job, Greg Keenum told me that I was going to be sent to prison for life.
  10. Greg Keenum and Tommy Comer did not prepare any defense for me.
  11. During my trial, the Judge stopped the proceedings for a restroom break. Tommy Comer, my attorney, took me out of the courtroom and put me in another room. When we got to the room, be gave me the .25 cal. pistol he had taken off the evidence display. Then he left me in the room alone, and then came back and got me when the trial was ready to start. I gave him the pistol back before we went in the courtroom. He put it back on the evidence display. I don't know if the gun was loaded or not, but it did have the clip in it.
  12. My lawyers never once ever told me anything about how to appeal my case, and they never told me anything about time limits. I just thought they did this to me for no reason because I did not shoot my wife.

This is a true statement.
